Drawing from Earth is about surface, remnant and connection. Endeavouring to find strategies to evoke a sense of union to place and time, these drawings and paintings seek to communicate tactility and sensual intrigue and are created by staining, layering and immersing a substrate in the environment to draw out the earths mark.  These are then worked over with dyes, pigments and charcoal to find the balance or indeed the tension between what nature intended and human intervention.
